The scientific interest of CAM 2009 will cover a large spectrum of the vast domain of mechanics and its interactions with related fields: acoustics, biomechanics, energy mechanics, materials, thermal engineering, ... Five topics are proposed ranging from fluid mechanics and thermal engineering to solid and structure mechanics. An important part is dedicated to behavior of materials used in structures in civil engineering and mechanical engineering (concrete, metals, polymers, composite materials, ...) as well as biomaterials. The design and maintenance of mechanical structures without omitting the sustainable development are also subjects that the congress will deal with.
Many topics covering a wide range of mechanics have been selected for the 2009 version of the cam.
The « Congrès Algérien de Mécanique - CAM 2009» which aims at opening a forum of discussion among the mechanical engineering community will be hosted by the University Mohamed Khider of Biskra from 16 till 19 November 2009. The venue of the congress, the city of Biskra, was not accidentally chosen but joins in a will of opening of the organizers to the whole Algerian territory. On the step of Aurès mountains and the signs of deserts and Sahara, is this city of history and the panoramic landscapes, with its green and scattered oases, and also the hospitality of its inhabitants. This period of the year coincides with the picking of its sweet, honeyed and generous dates (Deglet Noor).
